A. All Sound Barrier windows and doors have been acoustically tested in N.A.T.A. accredited laboratories. There is simply no guesswork involved. Sound Barrier Windows have been proven to reduce noise levels by 75%.

Q. Can I still open my windows for ventilation?

A. Yes. All panels on the Sound Barrier window are openable and you can still open your existing windows.

Q. I don't want to change the look of my home. Can you see the Sound Barrier Window?

A. The Sound Barrier windows and doors are custom made to match your existing windows and doors. All framing will align directly inside the existing framing. This makes the Sound Barrier window and door virtually invisible from the outside.

Q. But how will they look from inside?

A.The Sound Barrier is positioned within existing reveals, aligns with existing framing and is powder coated in a colour to match the existing window or door colour. You will barely notice that you have a Sound Barrier window installed.

Q. Can I keep my existing blinds/curtains?

A. Yes. Blinds and curtains can be re-installed, if you prefer us to do this for you, we would be happy to do so.

Q. I live in a noisy unit. Do I need strata approval?

A. In most cases no. As the Sound Barrier System is not visable from outside strata approval is not required.

Q. My home is heritage listed, can I have Sound Barrier windows fitted?

A. Yes, we have completed many projects in heritage listed buildings.

Q. What are Sound Barrier Windows made of?

A. Thick laminated glass and powder coated aluminium frames. We believe these materials are more effective, durable, practical and aesthetically pleasing than Acrylic/PVC Magnetic systems.

A. As all panels on the Sound Barrier System are openable you can easily access your existing window for cleaning.

Q. I really want new windows, what should I do?

A. Sound Barrier have an extensive range of replacement windows and doors, ranging from non-acoustic, to single glazed up to STC 36 and double glazed systems up to STC 50+
